Visit the Genocide Memorial which serves as a permanent memorial to those who fell victim to the genocide in 1994.The centre opened on the tenth anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide, in April 2004, and was built on a site where more than 250,000 people are buried. A ranger/guide will lead the way into the national park to help you locate and observe the endangered golden monkeys, found in groups of 20-80. Return to visit the Karisoke Research Center to learn more about the gorilla protection project. Later in the evening, get a deeper insight through a lecture delivered by one of the head wardens of the park.
Meet the ranger at the park early morning for a brief orientation. The duration of your trek depends on the location of the gorilla family. Observe the magnificent creatures for an hour and return to the lodge for lunch. Visit the nearby village to take a peek at the lives of locals.

There is little accommodation inside the national park that fits our upgraded service level. Most of the mid-range lodges are adjacent to the park but it can often take approx. an hour to reach the park gates due to poor road logistics and conditions. For this reason there is a lot of driving to get to/from activities within the national park area.
Search for the ckeeky chimpanzees with a ranger in the lush Kalinzu Forest Reserve. In the afternoon look for the buffalo, elephants, giant forest hogs, hyenas, leopards, lions, and warthogs on a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning is the best time to view game. Make the most of it, as you begin early for a game drive at the park. After lunch, a little bit of relaxed game viewing as you cruise down the Kazinga Channel to view birds, hippos, and elephants or big cats.
