There are few places better suited to a romantic, once-in-a-lifetime trip than Botswana, where you can enjoy the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

2 Nights at Chobe Game Lodge in Chobe National Park, Botswana

Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent lodge located within Chobe National Park along the banks of the Chobe River - you'll begin your honeymoon experience with unparalleled game viewing experiences. At times hundreds, if not thousands of elephants venture to the banks of the Chobe River to quench their thirst. With the herds of elephants, buffalo and zebra and the prides of lion adding a zing of adventure, your stay by the river will be a memorable one.

Day 1

Arrive at the airport where a guide will be waiting to transport you to the tranquility and comfort of Chobe Game Lodge. With a suite upgrade, you can relax and let the good mood sink-in. Take an afternoon game drive (in silent electric safari vehicles, if they are available) and begin your honeymoon with adventure! Or, take your time to settle in and watch the river flow by from the comfort of your air-conditioned suite.

Day 2

Take a spectacular river cruise and experience Chobe National Park (and its resident wildlife!) from a glorious vantage point. Here you’ll get up close and personal with hippo, crocodiles and a mind-boggling array of water birds. See large land mammals up-close as they come to the water to drink.

2 Nights at Savute Safari Lodge in Chobe National Park, Botswana

Stretching between waterways of the Linyanti to the Savute Marsh, the Savute Channel has pumped life into the western section of the Chobe National Park for eons. A geographical anomaly, the Savute Channel seems to flood and dry up independently of how much rain and flooding there is further upstream. Situated right on the banks of the Savute Channel, Savute Safari Lodge provides a luxurious setting from which to explore the surrounding savannah. With all the modern amenities in a laid back setting, you can relax and explore to your heart's content.

Day 3 and Day 4

Savute is renowned for its population of bull elephants and for the unique interaction of the resident predator species. You can spend your days exploring the surrounding wilderness from open land cruisers, keeping an eye out for game as you see volcanic outcrops and Bushmen paintings at Tsonxhwaa Hill, then return to the comfort of the Savute Safari Lodge to enjoy a private dinner.

Accommodating a maximum of 16 guests, the knowledgeable and friendly staff at Xugana Island Lodge will cater to your every whim.
