Located in the southern part of the Namib Desert, Sossusvlei is a salt and clay pan surrounded by high red dunes. Spectacular with its red dunes, white salt pan and Deadvlei, it is one of the most prominent landmarks and a real treat to a photographer.

Sossusvlei is characterized by high sand dunes of vivid pink-to-orange color indicating the high iron content and consequent oxidation processes. It is awe-inspiring to see the trees that have been dead for thousands of years and still standing proud.
Begin your day right from the hotel\lodge at Windhoek and head south via the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass. Stop by to wonder at the beauty of Namib from one of the many view points. Refuel yourselves with a lunch at the Solitaire Oasis and continue to reach the lodge around 3PM. Rock formations is one of the main attractions of Sossusvlei. Fascinate at the Sesriem Canyon and later climb the Elim Dune to admire the scenic desert horizon. Return to the lodge and relax with some mouth watering dinner.
Orange Morning!! An early start at sunrise, through the Sesriem Gate to the spectacular Sossusvlei. More of the breath taking orange landscape as you climb the Dune 45. The sheer vastness is awe-inspiring. Supposedly one of the most photographed places on earth, Dead Vlei is a unforgetable sight with the ancient, dried-up acacias. You may indulge in climbing eith "Big Daddy" or "Big Mama" for more breath taking views.
Enjoy a breakfast and head back to Windhoek via the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass, with a stop at the Solitaire, to reach before lunch and be dropped off at the hotel\lodge of your choice
