Camp Xakanaxa is located in a superb site on the bank of the permanent flowing Khwai River and overlooking the Xakanaxa Lagoon. It boasts a thatched roof covered lounge and bar area, an elevated thatch-roofed, reeded dining room and viewing deck, evening campfires on deck elevated over the river, a curio shop and infinity pool and swimming pool. Camp Xakanaxa is wheelchair friendly.
Xakanaxa is located in the heart of The Moremi Game Reserve, rated as one of Africa’s most beautiful game reserves, offering sanctuary to abundant herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lechwe, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, sable antelope and much, much more. Lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and hyena complete the picture. Birding is quite spectacular, especially during spring and summer when the migrants breed.

Located in a superb site on the bank of the permanent flowing Khwai River in front of camp and overlooking the Xakanaxa Lagoon, a permanent flowing river in front of camp, Camp Xakanaxa offers a thatched roof covered lounge and bar area and an elevated thatch­roofed, reeded dining room and viewing deck. Relax around an evening campfire on deck elevated over the river, or in our infinity swimming pool during the heat of the day or explore the curio shop in a quiet moment. Camp Xakanaxa is wheelchair friendly.

Xakanaxa offers game drives in open Land Rovers. ( 4 Land Rovers each with the seating capacity of 10, however we only accommodate 6 / 8 guests per vehicle) Power boating available year round (3 x 8­seater boats). The Moremi Game Reserve regulations do not currently permit any of the following activities: off road driving, night drive, walking safaris, fishing, or mokoro boat trips.

Children over the age of 6 are welcome. Families with children six years to 11 years must book private activities at an additional rate, subject to availability. At camps where Mokoro and walking activities are offered, we reserve the right to amend or limit such activities at the discretion of the Camp Management and guides.

No childcare/baby-sitters are available at this property. Children must be under the care of their parents at all times. Children under the age of 16 years to share with a parent at all times. If one double (parent and child) and one single (second parent) is booked, the peak season single supplement will apply for the single room in peak season only. Children under 6 cannot be accommodated at this property. All services for family safaris are subject to availability at the time of booking.

Electricity & Water

Camp Xakanaxa has a 220v generator, which runs from 05h30 to 19h00, battery charged reading lights, a desk light and bathroom mirror light. Plug points are available in each tent, and at the office for charging of equipment. Each guest is responsible for bringing charging unit and adaptors.

Drinks Policy

All locally branded drinks are included in the nightly rate.

Laundry Policy

Laundry is done on a daily basis and inclusive in the nightly rate.

Extras Payment

Curios and tips/gratuities can be billed to the room number and settled on check out. Payment can be made by cash (ZAR, US$, British Sterling, Euro and Pula) or the following credit cards: Visa or MasterCard.

Gratuity

Tipping at own discretion. Our suggested guideline is US$ 5.00 per person per day for General Camp Staff which goes into a central tipping box and US$ 10.00 per person per day to the Guide.
