The most commonly found species in the Arusha National Park are giraffe, Cape buffalo, zebra, warthog, the black-and-white colobus monkey, the blue monkey, flamingo, elephant, lion and many other African animals. Leopard populations are present, but rarely seen. Birdlife in the forest is vivid with many forest species more easily seen here than elsewhere on the tourist route. The lucky birders could even spot the Narina trogon and bar-tailed trogon.
Pay a visit to Arusha National Park, enjoy a relaxing massage at the lodge, dive in for a cultural tour to learn the traditions and customs in Moivaro Village, or discover the beauty of Arusha town and the coffee plantations guided by a local guide.
The restaurant in here serves a mix of continental, African and international dishes, using the fruits and vegetables from their own garden. The four course dinner menu changes every day, so does the lunch menu and the afternoon coffee and tea is complementary.
You can also visit a local banana brewery and sample its beer; or hear the story of a local eccentric, and marvel at the tree house he fashioned for himself.
