Serengeti Migration Camp

Located next to the famous Grumeti River which is home to resident hippos, Serengeti Migration Camp is all that you could think of or expect in a tented camp.
Though the number of animals to be viewed may vary from season to season, there is always game available around the camp through out the year.

January has the herds of the wildebeest in the Southern Serengeti on the short-grass plains.
February spreads out the migration across the short-grass plains of the Southern Serengeti.
March has the Migration spread across southern Serengeti, Loliondo and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The migrating herds start moving north through the areas of the Moru Kopjes and Seronera in April.
During May they move towards north through Seronera towards the Western Corridor.
In June the Migration collects in the area of the western corridor before crossing the Grumeti River and then onto Grumeti Reserve in July.
In August the herds continue up into the far north-west of the Serengeti National Park.
Wildebeest herds in the north of Serengeti National Park and in the Maasai Mara during September.
October has the wildebeest grazing in the far north of the Serengeti - and across Mara.
In November the herds begin its first trek south through Loliondo and via the eastern extremities of the Serengeti National Park.
In time for the rains in December the Migration arrives at the short-grass plains.

Look out other species like agama lizards and rock hyraxes, full 100 varieties of dung beetle, 500-plus bird species etc..

Serengeti Migration camp is situated right in the path of the migration and there is no better place to view this nature's wonder. Each of the tents is surrounded by its own 360-degree verandah deck, which gives you the full coverage of the area around.

Each tent has an en suite shower room with flushing toilet, shower and twin vanity basin, the latter of which receives hot (solar generated) and cold running water 24-hours a day.

Migration Camp tented rooms include luxuriant soft furnishings, a writing desk and stationery set and a room fan.
