Tarangire Treetops

Relive the childlike joy of tree houses, with an added dash of adventure and awe. Elevated above the ground for a 360 degree view, the tree houses provide stunning views over the tops of surrounding marula and baobab trees.
The sixth largest national park in Tanzania gets its name from the Tarangire river that crosses through the park. During dry seasons the Tarangire is the only source of water for wild animals. Thousands of animals migrate to the Tarangire National Park from Manyara during this season. The highlights of this park are the huge number of elephants, baobab trees, tree climbing lions and termite mounds that dot the landscape.

There are about 550 bird varieties, including the Kori bustard, the heaviest flying bird; the stocking-thighed ostrich, the world's largest bird; ground hornbills, colourful yellow-collared lovebird, rufous-tailed weaver and ashy starling.
